I hope your attitude is a sign of Alzheimer's, and not a sign of the person you've become. It is much more "comforting" to think your actions and words are something you have no control over than it is to accept that you've always been acrimonious.

Whatever those actions are, I am seriously hoping you can forgive her. I believe that will bring out the best in you....
Ahhh yes. I remember when I was posting about my mom you stated that the week after you would be having to go through the same thing with your parents.
After reading your confession I can so relate-boy can I ever. ((big hugs))
Either way on this situation, you have a lot to lose I think. Good luck. Don't even get me started on my parent stories. There isn't enough beer in the world to drink away those memories and issues.
Maybe most of us can relate to this. I was just thinking the same kinda stuff after talking to step dad on the phone. Agreeing with 'we're doomed' that there isn't enough beer or hours in a day to figure them out. Much better to shrug it off, if at all possible.
Some people just don't have a speed bump between their brain and their mouth.
Well. I hope you can find peace. It sucks to have tension with your family.
Ooh. I know I can't say the same about my dad. At least he won't be around to bother me anymore.
I take responsibility for my actions. I apologize when you insist. And that is that. I still think your Mom is hot....
I'm sorry you have family tensions. Being an adult daughter can be just as frustrating as being a teenager!
You did NOT just hope Alzheimer's on anyone.Trust me, you did not mean that..I am sorry your mom was not there for you. but you have not had my weekend with diagnosed ALZ....no joke in da house..no no no
Jay said it best of all....love that 'speed bump bwtn their brain and the mouth'. It's a good thing to have.
My Mom said what she felt when she felt it and quite often not in a very nice way, BUT my Mom rocked :)
