I chose Cam's name after hearing a name I loved - the name of a one-night stand's son. I was so convinced Cam's father was someone else, I didn't even consider the ramifications of selecting this name if I was wrong. I was wrong ... Cam has a half brother named ... Cam.

Cam is a wonderful name. Even though I have not met Cam. His name seems to fit him well. You did good Dana, with the name of your son.
Even though I knew my kid was going to be a boy, I wanted to name him "Consuela" after a chick that I had a one-night stand with. Cheers!!
Is he just Cam? For some reason I guess I always assumed it was short for Cameron. Either way I love both names also.
My parents wanted to name me Ruby. Seriously, I don't like Karen all that much, but it is so much better than Ruby.

That's okay. I know a family where the dad named his son from his first marriage and son from the 2nd marriage the same name - and they have a very unusual last name (and the first name is unusual too).
My grandfather wanted (seriously) to have me named Hogg, and my first sister named Bird. (sound it out, it makes more sense)

Evil Twin's Wife, I will say that I doubt they share the same middle name, although it is a common one, and they definitely don't share the same last name. I guess it could have been worse!

Well. It could be worse. I went to HS with a blended family (it seriously was like the brady bunch- mom had 3 kids, dad had 3 kids). There was Aron and Erin.

I am wondering if the Half Brother's have met, or even know of each other.
I love his name, and the fact that he is named after someone he is related to is cool, excpet if they ever meet one will say, "Hi I'm Cam, and this is my brother Cam."
I share the same quirky sense of humor as Jay and Biscuit. Glad you can see the humor in it as well. (but not ass funny as "my other brother Darryl" :)
My middle name (it is the one I use since my father and I share the same first name) came from a boy my mother dated in HS.
My daughters name is the same name of a woman I had a crush on growing up. Not so much because I wanted to remember her, but I really liked the name.
