First, I want to make a clarification on a post from earlier in the week. I did a little rant about the word REDISTRIBUTIONIST after a bit of back and forth banter with Jay. Based entirely on my interpretation of his comments to my post, I got the feeling he may have felt misrepresented. I want to clarify that my issue was with the word "redistributionist" - not with Jay, his political stance or even the meat of his post. The last thing I want to do is to appear to "edit" the facts to favor my own position - whether that be cowgirl or missionary.

Two landmark Supreme Court decisions this week - both of which I believe were well made. On Wednesday, the Court rejected the death penalty for raping children. Is the rape of a child a heinous crime? Without a doubt, but this country does not impose the death penalty for crimes where a killing does not take place. Although we have what I feel is the best judicial system in the world, it is not perfect - mistakes do (and have) happened. Although this was not a popular decision, I do believe it was the right one.
Yesterday, the Court ruled 5-4 that Washington DC’s ban on the legal ownership of handguns was incompatible with gun rights under the Second Amendment. This decision was not only a victory for our Constitution, but for common sense. Just look up the handgun violence statistics for DC and you'll discover that criminals still have them, even if it is illegal. DC's law did nothing but take handguns out of the homes of the people who do the "right" thing and register them.

I've come to the conclusion that I have a "familiar" face. At least once a week (seriously, once a week) someone is stopping me to ask if I have a sister or if they know me. I find this almost amusing as I am not a "typical" woman - maybe a typical Amazon woman, but not a "typical" woman. You'd think, if they did know me, they'd remember my 6' tall, onehundred and *cough*sputter*I'mnottellingyou* pound self!

A recent conversation with husband that sums up the current state of our sex life. This short, disturbing exchange took place as I had my hands, which were lathered in lube butter, tightly wrapped around a fresh ear of corn, moving them up and down while gently twisting, as I lovingly stroked distributed the butter onto each kernel preparing it for the heat it was about to receive.
Husband: That's obscene
Me: I was thinking more along the lines of erotic!
Husband: No ... it's obscene
I guess he'll be skipping a hand job manual stimulation from anyone other than himself for the next few ... ummmmm ... millenniums!

You can butter my corn anyday...
Dammit! Buffalodickdy! That's EXACTLY what I was about to say! *shakes fist*
I didn't think you misrepresented anything, I was just pointing out that I don't necessarily agree with redistribution nor do I agree that Obama's positions go so far as to really be called "socialism."
I agree with both of the supreme court decisions too. I know there are a lots of people who have pushed for the expansion of the death penalty to crimes that don't involve murder but that is a very slippery slope.
I also support gun owner rights. I do think the state has the right to regulate them though and the court said so yesterday. Stating that the state can still forbid felons and mentally ill from owning guns and ban guns from public lands. They also let the gun registration and waiting period law stand. It all sounds very reasonable to me.
Buff, you're such a giver ...
Jay, I'm thinking Buff took the comment that everyone is going to think of first. I'm looking forward to the creativity that is bound to flourish later in the day!
3 cheers for the high court finally growing a pair and standing up to idiots of the far left. Maybe the trend will continue to the Chicago and SanFran areas, two more cities with radical firearm restrictions.
And as one having moderate experience with the equal and deliberate distribution of lu...ummm, butter, I think you should do a vlog showcasing your technique. It could be a learning experience for some, and a teaching experience for others.
And let the masses vote on erotic or obscene ;)
Ooh! A vlog showing your corn buttering technique. What a great idea! I'll bet you could do a whole series of foods!
My first thought: WHAT AN IDIOT.
When a woman gives you that kind of *opening* so to speak, you should shut up and let her butter your corn!
Next time, I hope you put lube on his corn instead of butter. ;)
I have never seen corn get buttered Before it goes in to cook...I guess I am new to this. I get no lube!
I agree with your thoughts on the Supreme Court Rules. No Death Penalty...they should just cut his unit off..make 'em pee through a tube!
Flyinfox_SATX
New to the blog and the writing is great. I'll definitely be back to read more.
Good Dr., as I live in a Chicag suburb I am closely watching this one and hope it falls the way of the foie gras ban!
Os, educational food technique vlogs? But there are already so many food blogs/vlogs out there - I don't know that I'd have anything new to add *wink*
RLL, I won't even use the good lube on his corn. KY-Jelly anyone??
Flyinfox, it was being buttered, re-wrapped in the husk and grilled!
mnwhr, thanks for stopping by!
Amen Dana!!
I too agree with both those rulings made by the Supreme Court. Raping children is God awful but so is a bunch of other crap that gets a person lesser time. That's not to say my heart doesn't go out to victims but...
I'm just sayin'
Why didn't you take pictures of yourself giving a handjob to an ear of corn?
I agree with both rulings. I'm completely against the death penalty thought and totally pro legal firearms. I don't have a gun and have never held one but if I need one I want to be able to get it.
Tell your husband he can take his corn and shuck it. Does he maybe have a little bit of veggie envy?
I have seen someone molest corn this week too. LOL.
I was actually pretty surprised about the Second Amendment decision. I was pleased and I love Scalia's decision. He has such a great way with words.
Slick, the child rape decision really was a tough one, but as Jay said, it's a slippery slope. I've been trying to vlog on the weekends - maybe a corn buttering vlog is in order?
Knight, veggie envy - if he only knew *gigglesnort*
Karen, does it make me a dork if I admit that reading Scalia's prose is right up there with reading erotica for me?? What that man's words do to me ...
I do agree with the ruling on the death penalty. I have some problems with the ruling on the guns. The whole issue of "right to bear arms" is cloudy. The amendment refers to the militia. Does that mean that everybody can join the militia and have a gun at home? most of the first 10 amendments or compromises among the founding fathers. The wording was judicious and you have to almost no who was involved to interpret their true intent.
the buttered corn is too slippery and issue for me to deal with.
I'll be having corn on the cob for dinner tonight!
You know of course all four of my kids will be gone tonight, and it doesn't take THAT long to get to my house!
You bring the corn, I'll bring the butter. *wink*
Here I come to be the 'oddball'
I think anyone who rapes a child has no business sharing the earth with me..sorry...
As far as the gun ruling...tell me that anyone who wants to buy a gun has to wait 30 days ANYWHERE in the country...tell me that the gun manufacturers will be forced to stop making automatic weapons or handguns for the general public. And then tell me that anyone using a handgun in the commission of a crime gets life..no parole..no plea bargains and then we can move forward.
I have no problem with rifles for hunting/competition shooting. Why does anyone other than law enforcement need a handgun?
As far as the butter discussion...man he just does not get it!
Neil, I tend to be a bit of a "traditionalist" when it comes to the Constitution, rather than one who believes it is a living, breathing document. That being said, I think if there is a need to change the Bill of Rights it should be done through a Constitutional Amendment rather that through a Supreme Court decision.
PP, be sure to fondle it before cooking!
Leighann, I would never infringe upon your anniversary sex!
Bond, I have a fondness for oddballs! I agree with you, anyone who rapes a child has no business breathing my oxygen, but once we make that move to penalizing non-lethal (physically) crimes by death, we open that door for ALL non-lethal crimes.
On the gun control issue, I honestly enjoy firing a handgun for sport. Unlike you, I believe that more strict gun-control laws do nothing more than take guns (for sport, pleasure or protection) out of the hands of law abiding citizens.
Now that the corn is all nice and lubed up, shove it where the sun don't shine and see if he finds *that* obscene.
Butt-nugget. If you ain't going to enjoy the ride, get off my merry-go-round.
As a reddish tinted pinko, I’ll forgo commenting on the dialogue between you and Jay.
Unless it has been recently changed, there are a few Federal crimes that do not involve taking of human life for which Congress has imposed the death penalty. They are (were?): espionage; mailing of injurious articles with intent to kill; and treason.
The problems I see with civilians using handguns is (1) the majority have no training in their use/safety and (2) a criminal is more likely to kill a victim who has a gun than one who does not. Another issue is that guns are made to kill and nothing else. My grandfather’s police revolver was in my parents’ chest-of-drawers when I was a wee kid. Of course I found it and, as a kid who played cowboy and had lots of toy guns, I didn’t know the difference. So I can imagine my mother’s terror when I walked into the bathroom while she was sitting on the throne, pointed granddaddy’s revolver (fully loaded) at her, and asked, “Who bringed me this gun?”
Perhaps it is your height that draws their attention to you?
There is a very fine line between what is obscene and what is erotic and I have found the distinction between the two is usually based upon one’s political leanings.
Guess his corn won't be popping any time soon huh! Sucks to be him.
As for you...6 foot??!! Holy Amazon batman!! (Umm...I wonder how I missed that before?)I'll be forever jealous.....
the rtuling about the rape of a child with no death penalty...I completely agree!...and it's because mistakes DO occur...or what about the 18 yr old boy who's girlfriend at age 15 has sex with him and the parents decide to file rape charges....talk about funking up your day!
The guns in D.C....that's a no brainer...H.e.l.l.o....
And one last thing...I think I saw you while I was getting my mani/pedi....**wink**gigglesnort**
Creativity? Okay, you can shuck my corn awhile, before you butter it, and even take the first nibble...
.........cob......ears.......butter.....heat.... the question here is how would I hold my liquor....by the ears of course.
Remind me not to have corn next time you're here. You'll give Andy ideas. He might even want to be in a HNT shot with you. :P
I'm glad they lifted that ban in DC. It's crazy that law abiding citizens couldn't own a gun when so many criminals will be gun owners forever.
And I literally LMAO at the corn buttering exchange! That's hilarious!
We all love Jay, or should :)
I think the death penalty is warranted in the rape of a child where DNA evidence supports the conviction. We may not of had a death in the true sense of the word but that poor child has surely died inside.
Gun owners rights, giving them back, right on!
There you go babe, proving me right, Didn't I say you weren't typical :)
Was your husband serious? Wow, I think my husband would have offered to be next. Maybe would have even layed that puppy up on the table HA!
Never thought of corn as foreplay but I am all for it!
Dana,
Regarding the 2nd amendment ruling, I give a hearty thumbs up!! I am bewildered by people's confusion over a"well-regulated militia" as militias are by definition, armies of the general populace, seperate from the standing national army. The weapons used by traditional militias were the members own, these fighters being ready at a moment's notice to spring from their beds and defend their country/state. That being said, I am for requiring waiting periods, background checks for felonies or mental illness, and a training course waivable for those with military training. As for the other decision, I understand the slippery slope that the death penalty for child rape would bring on, but if you've read the criminal complaint in which the child's injuries are described, you'd have serious second thoughts. The dad in me thinks anything less than death by carnivorous wild boar would be too good for this particular sonofabitch.
On a happier note, I would agree that you do have a familiar face that invites conversation. Something I also thought after watching your first Vlog, was that your voice was unexpected. Not at all what I thought it might be. Maybe you had a bit less midwest accent than I expected? Not sure.
As for your husband, would he have said that when you first married him? I could understand if he saw that happening at a church or maybe a day care center, but his own wife, in his kitchen, using his butter and corn? Was his elderly grandmother in the room? Jeez!!
FMD
Boo(duh), butt-nugget - you gotta love that!
Nick, I have to admit to holding on - TIGHTLY - to my constitutional rights. The 2nd Amendment is almost sacred to me ...
tt, he made his preferences pretty clear, don't you think??
Buff, now that was creative!
DB, BWAHAHAHAHA
Tali, there will be no corn fondling for Andy 'cause it's you I want in that special HNT!
FF, the corn exchange - isn't that part of the stock market?? *giggle*
Lu, my husband was serious, and I was kind of hoping he'd at least consider bending me over the kitchen counter, but alas, I was wrong!
Kannon7, accidental foreplay is always better!
FMD, don't get me wrong, I'm thinking a lifetime of waterboarding might be appropriate for a child rapist, but I just can't get to death.
Having grown up in Seattle, I think I've got that "neutral" accent going on!
And no, my husband propably wouldn't have said that when we first got married. The funny part? We've been married only two years!
it was erotic.
and please feel free to use "bilf".
Instead of dinner out can we have corn at your house?
I read this post the other day and I was wondering if your husband is a monk. ;)
Ha Ha Ha! The corn one cracked me up, and uh, does he not even LIKE sex?? LOL
