Tell him that sometime.... Once, a number of years ago, a buddy of mine suggested a "Glamour Shots" photo session for my wifes' birthday gift. She went. They troweled on make-up, did her hair, put her in a sexy, but demure outfit, and took different photos- touched up or airbrushed to look "glamourous". It worked! I loved them- and she felt beautiful! I still carry one of the pictures in my wallet. When I show people, I tell them "This is back when my wife ran a bordello"....
Really? Not even on your wedding day? My wife threw my heart into palpitations when I saw her walk down the isle, absolutely stunning, she never looked more beautiful.
I hope for your sake that he showers you with professions of love and that the utter awe that your beauty provokes within him.
doggybloggy, I am a huge fan of PostSecret and decided it was time to shead some of my own. They have never appreared on the PostSecret site, just here.
r.e.h., I would agree, and more importantly they need to be said with sincerity.
buffalodickdy, you are right - I should tell him. Chances are he has no idea that this is important to me.
g-man, really! Not even on our wedding day. To be fair, I've heard "You look good," but never "You are beautiful" - just not the same.
Leighann, I think you are right - what we crave most is what seems to be lacking.
RLL, thank you, although this post really wasn't about fishing for compliments *wink* I think before I trade this one in, I need to let him know it is important - then I'll consider my options!
Sassy Lucy, I love the PostSecret concept and will admit that some of mine will never be posted to this blog, but will be mailed in instead!
Captain Corky, my thoughts exactly... tell him though... sometimes it's that one person thinks they are saying it and it's just not the right words... "good" might equate to "beautiful" sometimes. To me that's more of a casual form that is reserved for jeans as in "Damn... you look good in those." Beautiful is more intimate and romantic moments and means alot more than just "good" and will come out at different times.

I think what we want to hear the most is usually when we never hear, or hear very rarely.
I hope he comes around because you ARE beautiful.
You are beautiful. End of story.
Perhaps you need another man? One that tells you how beautiful you are!
Dana...I am going to send in some of my secrets...the books hooked me.
Papa Bear says I am beautiful...now ask me if I believe him?
Oh, and in true sassy form, I am being a pest and playing TAG...you're it...go to my blog for the game.
