HNT - Tea Time

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Some of you might remember that I am a huge coffee fan, but I don't think I've ever shared my teapot collection. I have just under 30 teapots - some have been gifts - some I've purchased myself. They perch upon the top of my kitchen cabinets like friends ready to greet me. They make me smile ...

Strange how a teapot can represent at the same time
the comforts of solitude and the pleasures of company.

I can't tell if you actually drink with your pinkie up (the proper way), or if it's just there to balance the saucer...

Obviously I'm overlooking the great photo effect here, and the apparently cropped picture of your breasts...

I, too, love tea sets. But I don't drink it.. Hmm.

Perhaps I'm just doing it the wrong way. The click through is highly instructional. :)

We have one teapot. It's about 3" high ... a timer, actually. Bought it last week when our very old microwave oven finally died. We had discussed getting a toaster oven & a teapot instead of a new microwave (ultimately got a new, smaller m/w). But in the interim, we needed a timer, so I found one on clearance for 2 bucks at Food Lion. Carl was rather taken aback when he saw the tiny teapot sitting next to the stove...

Awesome!

I've been on the great teapot hunt for a bit now. I need a nice but everyday functional one--I brew strong strong Irish Breakfast tea and drink most of a pot everyday.

I bought a plain beige teapot after I killed the last pretty one. Brad was despondent over it's blandness so I plopped it in front of him with a handful of colorful Sharpies. It now says 'UF Rules!" So you see my dilemma;-)

Very nice. I like the B/W effect on top of the subject matter. The perspective was also interesting. Well done as usual Dana dear.

Good Morning Dana,

Neet effect, but there seems to be a teacup blocking a shot;)

We get our milk delivered here. I'm trying to work out if there's any clues in the picture about your milk supply, but that wonderfully colourful cup is almost distracting me from the other cups.

I have to respond to Nicey:

Every good cuppa is made only one way:

Sugar and cream first!

That way the tea cooks the brew, and makes it more tolerable!

Silly, but it really does make a difference in the taste of the tea!

Now if she'd only make the cucumber sammiches and scones!

d2b said...

Yeah, I want to join you for a cup :)

Happy HNT!!!

Nice collection ... but a fantastic click-pic! I just love what you did with that.

I was born and bred in the UK home of pottery so I've always had a fascination with china - I've had collections myself at various times. I still haven't figured out, though, why tea tastes so much better from fine bone china :)

Happy HNT :)
