~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
13 hours, 2 tanks of gas, 2 stops and 885 miles later, we are in Dickinson, ND! The trip has been great so far. I forgot how much I enjoy driving across country. In our travels today we crossed the Continental Divide [EDIT: This should read "A" Continental Divide - the Northern one - not the Great one that Osbasso mentions], saw "wild" buffalo and killed two birds *sobs* Well, actually they killed themselves using my car - flying into the windshield as I was traveling 80 mph!
Oh! One more thing, and then I'll show you the travel vlog. Did you know there were such a thing as sunflower farms? OK, yeah ... I know ... those sunflower seeds at the gas station convenience store have to come from somewhere, but never did I imagine miles and miles of sunflowers planted in fields. Really beautiful! Unfortunately, the pics didn't turn out too well, so I'm hoping we run in to some more tomorrow and I'll actually STOP to take a photo.
Thanks for all of the well wishes on our trip. I've read each and every comment but
[EDIT: Wow! I was tired! I forgot to do a spell check before publishing. My apologies to those of you who read early!]

I hate to burst your bubble...you haven't crossed the Continental Divide yet. But you DID cross into a better time zone!
Only 2 stops in 13 hours??? Oh hell no! I'm not traveling with you Dana. I would have stopped probably 4 times. I stop often to pee and stretch my legs.
Anyway, great video. Can't wait to see the rest of the trip. Drive carefully now! ;-)
Looks like you guys are having a blast so far. And thanks for showing me this part of the country. Now I can scratch Wisconsin, Minnesota and North Dakota off my to do list.
800-900 miles in a day is about my max! Out West, where traffic is generally lighter, driving can actually be relaxing! Or boring...
Never in my life did I think that I would be so excited to see a sign that reads, "North Dakota Welcomes You."
Continued safe travels to you and Cam. Cheers, Dana!!
You are my kind of traveler--I love to drive! Glad you are having fun--stay safe.
Awesome. Do the two of you have some sort of super bladders? I would have had to pee more than that. I do love a road trip though. Thanks for sharing!
That was fun, I got out my map and "followed" where you were at. I'm so jealous, I love road trips. Have fun.
Hola Bitches! That was a lot of fun. It was great to see Cam playing along this time. Cheers!
Sunflower farms? Say what?
So just to clarify...did you have a camera malfunction coming into MN? Bwahahahaha
You are the travel warrior!
And just for the record, my nipples got really hard when you showed the ND sign! wahoo
Woo Hoo! North Dakota: America's least visited state!
Looks like you are having fun. Too bad Cam HAD TO HAVE HIS PSP. The most fun I h ave had on a road trip was traveling from Iowa to Oregon with my fiance, a U-Haul, and a broken radio. Nothing to do for 3 days but talk to each other and keep each other entertained. Good times!
Drive safe and avoid the speed traps!
Messing with the camera and driving 80 miles an hour...
It's a wonder there's any wildlife left up that ways!! ;)
Glad you having a good time, Dana!
We have sunflower farms here. :) They are *BEAUTIFUL*. We also have random ones that just started blooming all along the sides of the roads and highways... So pretty!!!
Sounds like a great road trip so far!
you crack me up...camera malfunction?? LOL
You are too cute! Love that Cam is getting into the whole video thing..Does he know why you're filming it???
Looking forward to more.
safe travels!
Os, no bubble bursting here! I'll just blow another one if necessary.
Jay, thank goodness Cam and I are the same type of traveler. I'm thinking the trip could be far less enjoyable if one of us were a frequent stopper.
Corky, don't scratch them yet! They are all beautiful in their own way and worth the trip!
Buff, I'd lean toward relaxing. Once we got out of the Minneapolis/St. Paul area, the traffic was minimal and the speed limit 75!
Matt-Man, I was just as excited!
Turnbaby, still having fun and still staying safe.
Karen, I've come to the conclusion that it is some type of genetic mutation we share.
Melissa, be sure to follow along again when YouTube finally finishes processing part II.
Knight, Cam is getting more and more involved in this process. I'm thinking he'll be doing the entire vlog by next week!
Rage, who new?? But yes, sunflower farms!!
Jeff B, I know y'all were hoping for a wardrobe malfunction, but all you got was my goofy camera malfunction!
garbonzo, OK ... OK ... if the truth be know, *I* had to have Cam's PSP - he was driving me bonkers!
Slick, like most women, I *think* I multitask well. Just don't look too hard or you'll see the trail of roadkill in my wake.
Vixen, sunflowers have always been one of my favorite flowers - the colors are amazing, but seeing acre after acre of them was truly beautiful!
tt, Cam has been watching the videos and knows they are on YouTube. The blog?? Well, kind of like a diary, I keep it safely hidden.
dana, I found your blog from a link at Tits for Troops and wanted to say your picture there on July 29th was really hot and interesting. I think you'd look good at Tits Anonymous, if you have time to contribute some time.
Fun video, Dana!
I will travel with you Dana...stop when the car needs to be fed and you put on the feedbag at the same time..no wasted stopping
Will have to come back tonight to view video
I've only seen one sunflower field, and man are they beautiful!
