Longing HNT

There is an immense, painful longing for a broader, more flexible, fuller, more coherent, more comprehensive account of what we human beings are, who we are and what this life is for.

That is such a lovely photo; very sexy and serene.

That's a positively beautiful shot. There's just something about it that's both inviting and isolating, at once. Very enchanting.

Happy HNT.

Great image, Dana. It really captures that feeling of longing.

Happy HNT,

Wonderful pic, darlin'.

I agree with Bellow: us human beans really do want to know what life is all about. I think it's about more than being added to the chili.

Wow, what a beautiful picture. Absolutely gorgeous, sweetheart.

Very reflective. What could be on your mind??

Happy HNT!!

Your previous post has obviously influenced my view of this photo, but I would venture to say the mood is of great contemplation. Possibly sadness, sorrow, wonder, anticipation.

It is a beautiful shot.

Beautifully composed. I'm lost in that perfect shot.

Wishing you well.

Incredibly touching Dana. Very Nice. I know it's rough at times, but even when you are "sitting on the fence", you still look great. Cheers!!

Dana said...

Os, but Thin Mints would have been messier!

Smile, I was hoping it would "feel" right.

Marcellonyc, thank you! HHNT!

Dana said...

Ms. I, that's what I was hoping for. HHNT!

Vixen, sometimes the emptionally revealing ones are harder to do than the physically revealing ones.

Nick, thank you!

Certainly is a "mood"(not nude!) photo...

Wow! You captured in this incredible picture, your whole last post. That's a hell of a self portrait! Magazine quality.

I echo the thoughts of everyone above, and then some. You truly have a gift for this. Perhaps new career path? Can you do it for others, or just self-portraits? Your ability to convey your feelings through pictures is amazing.

And, you look like you need a hug.

*BIG HUG*

Smooches!

All I can say is WOW! I bet you could sell this one. You know how they say "A picture is worth a thousand words?" You are speaking volumes with this.

LOVE it!

Dana said...

Lucia, thank you! I really enjoy trying to find a quote that fits the HNT pic.

Mike, I'm so glad the feelings found there way to the pic.

Corky, *blushes*

Dana said...

Amorous, I thought the pillow added a nice touch.

Matt-Man, you know I love you, right??

Buff, it isn't even a nude mood pic. I was surprised when I looked at this that you cannot tell I have a silky nightie on!

Vinny "Bond" Marini said...

DANA: As others have pointed out...this is totally a post of contemplation and could be captioned "Is It Worth It"

I really might have to start the HNT thing

TY for sharing

Jay said...

This is a great shot! Very artistic and interesting. You should frame this one!

Real Live Lesbian said...

I have to agree with Jay. Frame it, twice...once for you and the other for as you're walking out the door, hand it across the fence. He's a dumbass for not recognizing the quality woman that he's too lazy to hold on to.

Someone's going to cherish you and they will need no words to tell you so. You will know it in your soul.

I hope that day is very soon for you, Sweetheart. I can feel your pain.

Beautiful photo. But it makes me sad.

Dana said...

Lu, I do have an artistic side, but I never thought it was in photography. Maybe I should re-think that?

Kimmie, thank you!

Karen, I think you are GOOFY!! But thank you!

Dana said...

Micky, that is what I was hoping for. I'm glad it came through!

DB, pensive was exactly the word I was looking for.

Apple, I've never really tried the whole photography gig. In fact, I was banned from the camera on vacation :) This is new to me since finding HNT.

Dana said...

Bina, that was the plan ... that was the plan ...

Bond, come join the fun! It really is an opportunity to see yourself through the eyes of others.

Jay, I can't even begin to imagine where I'd hang it!

Knight said...

Beautiful. Touching. Having read the last post, heartbreaking. It's the most revealing hnt I've ever seen.

Dana said...

Knight, it was a HUGE leap into the land of vulnerability!

Dana said...

RLL, I am saving your comment to read every time I hesitate to move forward.

Someone's going to cherish you and they will need no words to tell you so. You will know it in your soul.

I think I need to start by learning to cherish myself ...

Lapis Ruber said...

The picture, the pose, the expression all gives meaning to the title. Wonderful. Happy HNT.

Librarian Lee said...

I agree with I smile too much.

Sooo beautiful! I can FEEL the mood.

Dana said...

Beautiful. Contemplative. I love it.

g-man said...

Damn! Extremely well done. It totally captures your mood (which I am sorry that you are feeling). I hope that you do move forward (whatever that means to you) I hope to be a part of your support structure.

When you are in the "thin mint" mood I'm sure we will all be the beneficiaries :)

Dana said...

Jason, thank you very much! HHNT!

Luka, it's not red shoes and fishnet stockings, but it's still half-nekkid!

G-Man, thank you - really! The support in all of this has amazed me. Good news! I'm feeling a little minty already!!

Narf, thank you too! And a very happy HNT!

Jahooni said...

This is far better than thin mints in deed. Touching. I wish I could give you a big hug today (even with your clothes off, actually i much prefer it that way...) ;)~

Dana said...

Jahooni, but Thin Mints are FUN!!! I wish you could give me a hug too, although I've been showered with cyber hugs today and they feel pretty damn good!

Nude Canadian Boy said...

That is a great picture. After reading your Thin Mints post I empathise. I have been in a little funk myself (shh, don't tell anyone I took the day off work today because of it).

I believe it takes strength to make such a decision, with the real test of courage seeing it through.

Thanks for your posts.

Nude, I considered taking a mental health day myself today ... Thanks for stopping by!

Madame X, thank you so much!

Helga, thank you for stoping by! What's ironic is that I know what I am longing for - I just can't seem to let go of the railing so that I can actually reach it - but I'm much closer ...

Dana said...

RD, no tags - no dirty feet! Tell me why it is I look at the background of my HNT pics so carefully. You porn snob you!

R.E.H., thank you! Now if I could just find a clock tower *wink*

maybe I need to send you some TMs and you'll send me some art?
