DB, he was married up until his death about 4 years ago (that was a Sunday Secret too). I have to assume that at some point he told his wife because my son was listed as a "known" child on the Social Security paperwork, allowing my son access to the Social Security Death Benefit.
Karen, I haven't always taken the easy road - in fact some would argue (maybe rightly so) that I made things as difficult for myself as I could. I'm in no way content with where I am, but it's not such a bad place to hang out for a while.
You are a great, strong woman who has been through a lot. I commend you for taking the "high-road". It's good that at least your son can access the benefits now.
Buff, for the most part it is. I still have my moments of bad judgment, but they don't dominate my life any more.
Apple, it was poor judgment on both our parts and I saw no reason to compound the situation. I always left the door slightly open for Cam's father, letting him decide what was best in his life. I felt that was the best path to take.
RLL, I'm just hoping to be able to share some good news about where I'm headed now, but don't want to jinx myself before all is said and done.
If we're lucky enough we live and then learn. Seldom do we learn first and then go about living..that would be too easy. :) Taking the high road always made me winded but it was always worth it in the end. Bravo again!!
Sometimes we fuck up, Dana.. but we get up, straighten ourselves out and move on. Out of a moment of weakness came a wonderful child... a child who has a fantastic, devoted mom.
But ya know, my brother just told me a few weeks ago that last year, (10 months ago?) he cheated on his wife with a girl he knew YEARS ago and the girl just had a baby a few weeks ago. She is so beautiful! He did have to tell his wife, and of course they are having MAJOR problems cause he said he will NEVER ever ignore one of his children. He and his wife have two children together. I'm the only one in the family that knows cause he knows I love him no matter what, and I don't judge!

what a tangled web we weave....
DB, 15 years ago DRAMA was my middle name - maybe even my first name - I think it's the reason I attempt to run far, far away from it now ....
Dana: Wow...You're like a rcok star. Interesting situation, that was. Cheers Dana
o\Oops! There must have been a leak between floors.
Did you call a plumber?
Matt-Man, interesting is not the word I would choose. Let's just say that in an effort to not destroy a family, I took the "high road" on this one.
Scout, ummmm ... the plummer was the problem!
Well all condos look the same so it's an honest mistake to accidentally walk inside your condo. ;)
do you have any contact with the father...is he still married?
Wow. Complex situation, to say the least. Sometimes the craziest circumstances bring us the best gift.
Tali, yeah ... that's what happened!

It's not how you handled the past, but how you are handling yourself now. You continue to impress me.
Do tell MORE! ;)~

Jahooni, it's really not a pretty story. The selfish actions of one night had the potential to destroy many lives.

We are what we are and by being so, we tend to get stronger, even though complex situation. It seems to have made you stronger.
LOL at the person who said there must have been a leak between floors!
I guess you're right about this being freeing but my secret wasn't all that juicy. ;)
I like your HNTs, too but I would only feel comfortable if I could do 1/4 naked. Ha ha!
