Weekly Wrap Up

I actually earned a TGIF this week, and here it is - Saturday already! Thoughts and challenges I've had this week:
  • Norm, who was quirky but endearing in the begining, has made the full transition in just 5 days to quirky but irritating. It just wouldn't be a "job" if there wasn't a Norm involved.
  • Working for a family business in a small town has its benefits - like when they let employees leave early due to significant weather issues (with pay). It happened twice this week.
  • Sometimes you have to accept that fighting for what is "right" can blind you from doing what is "right" (more on that later)
  • Friends can be found in unexpected places and real friends seem to have an uncanny ability to pop into your life when you need them most
  • Priorities have to be re-evaluated and reorganized on a regular basis or life swings entirely out of balance
  • The blog world seemed to have a strong tit theme this week and I really enjoyed it!

Now, if I could just work in a bit more time for blogging ...

I am glad that the job seems to be going well for you.... and I seemed to have missed out on that theme :-(

Glad you're settling in to work! I just wish the blog world had a strong tit theme every week. ;)

Doc, you are not reading the right blogs! Not that I did a search on tit or nipple on blogger or anything ...

Corky, I might have to consider doing a Tribute to Tits week some time in the near future just to be of general service to the blogging world.

I miss chatting with you during the day, but I'm glad the job is going well for you!

Did you like my tit contribution? ;)

RD, boobies are not just for breakfast anymore!

Leighann, your tit contribution was a fascinating addition to tit week!

Starting a new job is always a mixed bag of emotions. Family-owned businesses can be great in some ways, and really hard in other ways! I quit a job after 25 years to go to a smaller, family owned business- One hint, don't ever get between them and the money!

The best thing about family owned businesses is that they can make their own decisions without having to check with corporate.

Boobies are fun.

Maybe we can have an ass week soon too?

And even a leg week?

Just throwing out some ideas. ;-)

Buff, this isn't my first family owned business experience and I learned the first time that your advise is golden.

Jay, making note to self - ass week and leg week.

SS, I've marked you down for the same requests.

Matt-Man, that isn't even a little bit funny!

P, I like to bring curiosity to a peak.

Yeah, I was worried Mr. Quirky would become Mr. Irritating ;)

But... apart from Leighann's post - I missed out on the titties! Maybe I should start posting more pics of boobies on my own blog to satisfy my own needs ;)

If you really want to freak out Norm, aka Mr recycle, bring a piece of crinkled tin foil smeared with peanut butter on it to work and leave it on the counter when no one is looking. It will take him hours to wash off all the goo so he can recycle it.

I'm just sayin'.

R.E.H., The "Have a lovely winter day" salutation is spoken at least 15 times each day and aparently changes with the seasons - I can hardly wait for spring!

DB, I figure Norm will be the blogging gift that keeps on giving.

Jeff, what a fabulous idea ... not that I would ever consider doing that (do you have any MORE ideas? This one might get old after a while)

Idea #2:

Take several of those toggle bolts (the kind that open up when you let go of them) and drop them into an empty soda bottle, the out the bottle on the counter. They will go in but won't come back out.

Mr "Save the Planet" will have a hell of a time trying to figure out whether to recycle it as glass or metal.
