Sunday Secret

When you told me there would be no card or any other recognition of Valentine's Day, I told you it didn't matter. I only said that so that you would never know how much it hurt my heart.

That happened to me on my birthday once. Sorry to hear that Dana. Not the same, but I'll wish a happy day on Thursday. Cheers!!

Women will nearly always appreciate a nice act of kindness or love- and men don't always understand that...

hmmmm

Matt-Man, it really is kind of the same, but at least I had warning rather than quashed expectations!

Buf, I think you're right - and I think men do too!

SS, hmmmmmmm indeed!

Sorry to hear that. I just came home from the store, and was looking at all the Valentine Chocolates and all... it's kind of depressing when there's no one to buy that stuff for.

Hopefully Valentine's Day will still be a good one.

Men just need to accept that Valentine's Day matters to women. We may think it's silly, but they don't. So why fight it so much.

Dana said...

R.E.H., the day will be as good or as bad as I make it - I plan on making it good!

Jay, it's really not even Valentine's Day that matters - it's knowing that someone spent a few minutes thinking about only you.

I think I'm in the minority when it comes to Valentine's Day. I actually don't care much about it but my husband always makes sure it's special.

Dana said...

Leighann, that's probably why you don't care much about the day! For some reason, we always want what we can't (don't) have and we take for granted what we do have!

... or you're just a freak!

To me, what is most important about Valentine's Day is that I was born on it.

Dana said...

Nick, does that make you a love child?? I think I'll celebrate your birthday instead of Valentines Day!

When Laurie ask/TELLS me "NO GIFTS" What she really means is don't buy it, make it. So.... The boys and I are working on her gift. I take pictures when it's finished.
I'm hoping for a B.J. out of it!!!

That stinks. Sorry

Al, I'd be THRILLED to get a post-it note on my car dash that had a heart drawn on it. It's really IS the thought that counts!

Karen, it does, but I feel better just getting it off my chest. I think I'll buy myself some flowers!

I think you and REH should be long-distance Valentines! ;)

I surprised a friend of mine a few years ago on V-day with a box of chocolates from Paris.

Tell me again why you're staying with this asshat?

Men can be so stupid. Good thing I'm not men, I'm Man. And now I'm going to beat my chest, grunt and do other manly things.

You can always be my Valentine !! ;-)

That really does suck.
And NOT in the good way.

Dana said...

Rll, tell me how you really feel *giggle*

Corky, I'm not sure I want to know what those "other manly things" are!

Doc, I might just take you up on that!

Anndi, certainly not a good suck!

I'm thinking more along the lines that I'm just a freak. :)

Isn't that why you keep me around?

Dana said...

Leighann, nahhhh ... I keep you around because you are my She-Ra, Princess of Power counterpart!

That sucks, I'm sorry.

I am sending hugs and kisses, for what they are worth...
XOXOXOX
