~ Writing my own happy ending. A blog containing reflections, thoughts, and observations of a single, middle-aged woman ~
Just because I don't talk about it anymore doesn't mean that I'm over it or that I'm ever going to be "O.K." again.
I know this secret all too well...
Your statement can apply to plenty of situations in the lives of many.Silence on a subject certainly shouldn't imply acceptance or even forgiveness. Cheers Dana.
I only hope that I've helped a little bit. What a brutal picture you've found to go along side your secret. Hugs~
DB, I think too many people do!Matt-Man, I agree, and believe the silence is sometimes detrimental to acceptance and forgiveness.RLL, more than you'll likely ever know!
I'm not very good at sharing my feelings. I figure everybody else has stuff to deal with too.. I understand anyone who needs to get it out though...
Holy Carp - I was actually going to say pretty much the same thing as Matt-Man (and that scares me a little bit)
Buf, I'm not either (believe it or not), especially when I think it might elicit a sympathy response. I don't want anyone feeling sorry for me!Doc, that shouldn't scare you a little bit, that should be of GRAVE concern!
Dana... you speak the truth - once again.
Wow, powerful....and hits home in so many ways.
WOW!Your Sunday Secrets really get me to thinking about things in my own life.I hope you have some happiness now in your world.
r.e.h., sometimes I wish the truth wasn't so damn hard to stomach!Penelope, thank you.PP, I have MUCH to be grateful for in my life - I always have - and although the Sunday Secrets tend to be a bit "dark" they in no way dominate my life.
Keeping things bottled up helps feed my insomnia.
Some of the most powerful statements are made using the fewest words.
Leighann, you might want to rethink that strategy!Beaverhausen, thanks for stopping by!
Very amazing... and scary too.
Dana will you tell Leighann that a little louder PLEASE, I' not sure she is listening to me!
That photo is a "shivers up and down my spine" kind of one.
Corky, I don't know about amazing, but certainly scary :)Penelope, one of these days I will convince Leighann that she takes life far too seriously sometimes.Jeff, it was the perfect photo for the secret, for many reasons.
I have no idea what you OR Penelope are talking about! :)
