Sunday Secret

I often think, based on our current results, that marriage counseling isn't going to make our marriage work, but rather bring to light the fact that we should have never gotten married.

There was a point in my professional growth that I decided, as I was doing marriage counseling with a couple, that I needed to learn to do divorce counseling.

How many times a week do you go?

Well, whatever it brings out, it is probably for the best that you figure it out. It is easier to deal with problems when you have somone to help you. Good Luck to you.

Lessons learned we grow from, and if this is what you are meant to learn, so be it...I know it isn't what people want to learn but it happens.

DB, I guess I just never considered that marriage counseling might lead to divorce. Must be my glass-half-full approach.

Buff, because I thought good friends made good spouses. We were better friends.

SS, I guess it depends on how you look at it!

Nick, that thought process was such a surprise to me. I find it odd that I never really considered that counseling would do anything but fix the problem.

Corky, we go weekly at this point. Not sure we could "live" through more than that *wink*

Karen, I've shifted my expectations in the direction you mention. It's been a difficult shift.

P, but I'm already 6' tall!! I want to be done growing!! OK, not emotional growth, but it would sure be nice if life would be easy for a while.

whoops sorry this comment is out of place.....

DB, not out of place at all! Sometimes I wonder if there is a man out there that can handle all of this "good woman"!

my kids mom is almost 6 feet...like 5 elevenish..... but not me....

DB, ... nor is my husband. I've known quite a few tall women who wouldn't even consider dating men shorter than them. Quite honsestly, I never saw the sense in eliminating over half the male population based on vertical genetics *wink*
